We received a "SALE" e-mail from Amazon in the middle of the night and the price was reduced on this exact model/color that was well below the current price. This came with the 9 hr. battery and I had read where when the computer is first charged that it is suppose to be totaly discharged and then recharged at least 3 times to get the maximun battery conditioning in it. The first time I charged this great little computer I got over 10 hours out of the battery before it reached 3% and this was running it mostly on web sites and doing some external DVD burning with it plus removing a lot of bloatware and installing a lot of new software. <br />Pros for this netbook include: <br />Great price <br />Small size <br />Great web cam <br />Super battery life <br />Windows XP (sp3) instead of Windows Vista or Windows 7 <br /> <br />Cons for this netbook: <br />Built in speakers are not very loud. <br />Poor touchpad (to small and seems to have a mind of it's own) <br />Finger print magnet! :) <br />Lots of bloatware such as games and free trial offers. <br />90 Day trial of "resource hogging" McAfee Anti Virus. It came with Windows XP, but I installed Ubuntu Linux and have loved it since. It has buttons to turn bluetooth and wireless on/off. The battery life is phenominal, I have gotten over 7 hrs. and still had some juice left. This netbook is a must have. Rating: 5 / 5 This is my 3rd netbook and is by far the best. Adding an external disk drive halves that. You need to let the battery charge up first, then completely discharge down to nothing then recharge it to get the full 9 hours out of it. <br /> <br />The netbook is light enough to use - the keyboard takes a bit to get used to. Man the screen is small! Hitting the shift key doesn't always work LOL. <br /> <br />Runs better with 2 GB memory installed.
